The SAT-SET's label is configured to guide your placing it along the way the dish is "looking", as (above) along Feeds' lower Support Arms, or on some handy surface atop the mounts' AZ/EL "Heads", or "Caps", as shown here (to the right). ->
As an alternative, if/when you prefer to measure the Slope of a Dish Face's edge, an EXTREME 9or ZENITH) ARC-SET section is for you! Either's label is configured to guide your placing it down the Dish Face. These are shown below, to the left. |

Mind the end-bubble, in Tool's end! Moving/sweeping your Tool on any slope, to where that end-bubble centers, orients your Tool/measurement to slope's steepest line.
To set (&/or re-set) Tool: loosen slotted screw so cupped bubble can be moved with your finger tips; put on working dish (like new one(s) you'll be installing); center the cupped bubble, and re-tighten slotted screw. That should guide you in/for identical Dish installations/alignments within about a 50-mile range. Where/how to place Tool (measure inclination) is your choice. Be consistent, and choose a place (reference surface) which moves with your changes in the Dish's Elevation "look" direction. When/if a Dish/Mount's support is not plumb, Elevations change as you sweep Azimuth. With this method (these Tools) you avoid that, by just keeping your dupped bubble centered as you sweep Azimuth for "joy" of acquiring signal.
